When some well intentioned folks become politicians, a kind of morphology must occur transforming a few into the very evil they opposed earlier.  The only other explanation which has merit, evil puts on a masquerade mask during campaigns.  In either case, three of our Seven Dwarfs (Dopey, Happy and Doc) have greatly embarrassed themselves outside the fantasy world they live.

We have previously shared with you how in early 2011 and with only a few days as Commission Chairman, one of Grumpy’s first activities was to eliminate written transcripts of official meetings.  During the justification of his deprivation of public information several outright boldface lies have been documented which we will summarize with this posting.

First we challenged the County’s position that the transcripts were initiated and eliminated at the sole discretion of the County Manager.  On the record and during an official meeting we showed the Seven Dwarfs that the position of Clerk and the transcripts were created by a voted upon resolution years previously.  Only a recorded vote by the Seven Dwarfs can recend a policy they created by vote.  Has that vote occured?  No.  Were the transcripts returned?  No.

During our March and April presentations we included the argument that elimination of written transcripts was a violation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) when supplying the deaf community with an audio recording of official meetings.  Was this argument acknowledged?  No.  Were the transcripts returned?  No.

Then magically Grumpy comes to the rescue of the deaf community stating on June 8

Grumpy could care less about the deaf community until legal counsel informed him that NOlathe was correct and the County would be sued.  A good charity fund raising event might include Grumpy and I debating who is the “Ol’ Crazy Guy”.  Does he honestly think he could make a statement like “we’ve been working on this for the last year” and I would not follow up and check that out?  Okey, now I have you hooked on this right?  So what was the other mega-lie?

So now we know, to Grumpy the last year from June 8 goes all the way back to April 27.  WOW, what an imagination Grumpy.  Actually just another baldface lie.  And more magically it did not cost me one cent of County funds (my front left pocket), it was all paid for with Federal Grant funds (my front right pocket) with no expected future funding.  But to be fair to Grumpy, this was all done in broad daylight and with broad support of the other Dwarfs, possibly even Larry, Moe and Curly.

The Commission fixed a problem they created months earlier, used Federal Grants to pay for it and we should be thankful that we still no longer have written documentation of Public Meetings? Ohhhhh, it gets better. With the assistance of ICLEI our Commissioners are currently constructing a 20 year plan to further their goal of Global Governance and your deprivation of Personal Rights http://jocovision2030.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/JOCO_Vision_Report_Review_Draft_7.19.11_Exec_Summary

We are running out of time to reverse this GREAT Nation’s current path to destruction.  If our State and Federal Constitutions have no legal standing here in our own backyard, what is left?

Is the Soros-Sponsored ‘Agenda 21’ a Hidden Plan for World Government? (Yes, Only it Is Not Hidden)

What is Agenda 21? If you do not know about it, you should.

Agenda 21 is a two-decade old, grand plan for global ’Sustainable Development,’ brought to you from the United Nations. George H.W. Bush (and 177 other world leaders) agreed to it back in 1992, and in 1995, Bill Clinton signed Executive Order #12858, creating a Presidential Council on ‘Sustainable Development.’ This effectively pushed the UN plan into America’s large, churning government machine without the need for any review or discussion by Congress or the American people.

‘Sustainable Development’ sounds like a nice idea, right? It sounds nice, until you scratch the surface and find that Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development are really cloaked plans to impose the tenets of Social Justice/Socialism on the world.

At risk from Agenda 21;

  • Private Property ownership
  • Single-Family homes
  • Private car ownership and individual travel choices
  • Privately owned farms

The Agenda 21 plan openly targets private property. For over thirty-five years the UN has made their stance very clear on the issue of individuals owning land;

Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole.

There are two more, very good reasons to be wary of Agenda 21 and the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) that supports it: George Soros and the United Nations. Soros money has been tracked to funding parts of ICLEI  (This link takes you to NOlathe research from November 2010)

In 1997, George Soros’s Open Society gave ICLEI a $2,147,415 grant to support its Local Agenda 21 Project

As regards the UN, that organization‘s problems with America’s appreciation of freedom and self-determination is one that needs no explanation.

Currently in California, Agenda 21 is working to implement plans to create plans for sustainable management of ‘open spaces.‘ The definition of what is to be considered an ’open space’ has sparked some heated exchanges between those directing the planning meetings and citizens who want private property rights to be respected and protected. (The East Bay Tea Party video featuring a Liberal Democrat arguing against ICLEI can be seen at the end of this article.)

This type of global plan could not be implemented without a large and well-funded group pushing through its priorities. For that, Agenda 21 has the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). And ICLEI is deeply entrenched in America;

ICLEI USA was launched in 1995 and has grown from a handful of local governments participating in a pilot project to a solid network of more than 600 cities, towns and counties actively striving to achieve tangible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and create more sustainable communities. ICLEI USA is the domestic leader on climate protection and adaptation, and sustainable development at the local government level.

Over six hundred cities,towns and counties in America are members of ICLEI? Do you support your local government agreeing to rules and regulations set up by a UN-based organization that wants private property transferred to government control? If you would like to see if your community is a member of ICLEI, you can visit their website.

Austin, Texas is one city that seems to have fallen for the ICLEI/Agenda 21 and was heavily consuming the ‘Communitariasm’ Kool-aid. A local group called Texans For Accountable Government saw what was happening and attempted to stop the Austin City Council from adopting some Agenda 21-friendly initiatives. One of TAG’s members, John Bush, delivered a succinct presentation on ICLEI and Agenda 21 that was virtually ignored. Watch his short argument against the proposed local law immediately followed by the lopsided vote adopting the plan.

In the world of business Agenda 21 is not a free market friend, preferring PPPs or Private Public Partnerships where the government decides which companies will receive tax breaks and are allowed to stay in business. In light of this realization, the cozy relationship between the current administration and GE (a company that paid no tax in 2010) should raise eyebrows. And the WH efforts to tell Boeing in which state they can operate seems to further bolster the belief that Agenda 21 ideals are already making headway in America.

The seeds for Agenda 21 were planted back in 1987 when the writings of Gro Harlem Brundtland (a woman who was first Vice-President of the Socialist International) caught the eye of the UN. Dr. Brundtland wrote a report for the UN called, ‘Our Common Future’ eventually got into the business of environmentalism as a tool to control all the people of the world and establish a global government. The growth of ICLEI and the framework being put in place by supporters of Agenda 21 appear to be bringing Dr. Brundtland’s ideas closer to reality

In recent months, citizen groups across the country have organized and become involved in the removal of towns and cities from membership in ICLEI. The Roanoke, VA Tea Party is holding a rally this week in an effort to have ICLEI removed from their local government.

For a better understanding of Agenda 21 and ICLEI we suggest: The American Policy Center offers a one-page primer on Agenda 21.

The featured speaker at the Tea Party meeting, Rosa Koire, is a liberal Democrat who understands that Agenda 21 will destroy America as we know it. Rosa’s website, DemocratsAgainstAgenda21.com is also worth a visit.

H/T to the tireless members of the SFBAY 9-12 organization for all of their information sharing on the topics of ICLEI and Agenda 21.

Oregon Police Fear ‘Occupy’ Protesters Arming Themselves for Looming Confrontation

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police believe that some protesters inside the Occupy Portland encampments are building shields and makeshift weapons — including nails hammered into wood — in preparation for when authorities attempt to clear the parks this weekend, police said Friday.

Occupy Portland organizers have repeatedly said the movement is nonviolent and have appealed to demonstrators to resist peacefully when the camps close at midnight on Saturday. They planned public marches and a potluck dinner before the deadline and hoped the public would take part.

But police said as many as 150 anarchists may come to Portland to take part in a possible clash with officers.

“If there are anarchists, if there are weapons, if there is an intention to engage in violence and confrontation, that obviously raises our concerns,” Portland police Lt. Robert King said. “But I know we’ll be able work through that and manage that, because we want to protect everyone there, especially the peaceful protester.”
Mayor Sam Adams has ordered the camp shut down, citing unhealthy conditions and the encampment’s attraction of drug users and thieves.

Protest organizers responded angrily to the police warning on Friday, saying in a statement that the police are trying to “defame” the movement by attributing the actions of individuals to the movement as a whole.

“Anyone that is engaging in violent resistance is doing so in direct contradiction to the values outlined by the Portland General Assembly” — the movement’s democratic governing body — “and in doing so is by definition not representing Occupy Portland,” the statement said.

About 10 demonstrators from Seattle had volunteered to come to Portland on Saturday to “stand in peaceful solidarity,” the statement said, but organizers are not calling in a mass influx of out-of-state demonstrators or anarchists.

Some people left the encampment on Friday, while others vowed to stay unless taken away in handcuffs.
The camp population was noticeably thinner as demonstrators cleaned up portions of the park. Some were seen carting away books from the library and dumping articles into trash containers.

A handful of people worked on dismantling an intricate kitchen, saying they’ll store donated equipment until the movement can regroup. They’re appealing to the public to cook food at home and bring it to demonstrators.

“Food is not going to stop unless we’re forced to stop,” said Marla Baskin, a demonstrator who has helped to organize food service.

Baskin said she hoped police would be able to arrest nonviolent demonstrators without force, even if radical elements try to provoke a confrontation.
Some demonstrators said they hope the camp may be re-established elsewhere or splintered into several smaller camps to continue the movement, but protest spokesman Jordan LeDoux said in an email “nothing concrete has been decided.”

Demonstrators planned marches originating in various locations around Portland on Saturday, ending at the encampments around 5 p.m., followed by a potluck for the public to “celebrate freedom of speech, and support for those who will be arrested,” LeDoux said.

The Portland encampment went up Oct. 6 after a march in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Protesters were sheltered by donated tents, fed by donated food and cared for by volunteer doctors and nurses. But it became a magnet for people not originally part of the movement. Sanitary conditions worsened. Businesses complained of theft.

City officials’ patience began growing thin when activists sought to occupy another park on Oct. 30. Police dragged away 27 of the activists when they refused to leave.

Protesters marched over two bridges on Nov. 2, but declined to inform police about the march route. That forced officers on bicycles, motorcycles and in squad cars to follow and block traffic for more than an hour. An officer was pushed into a moving bus sometime near the end of the march, police said. He received just minor injuries.

I started this post more than two months ago and have since verbally shared it with many of you.  It just seems too simple to be meaningful but a good mechanic, a problem solver, maintains a full toolbox.

I tend to mechanically place folks into one of two categories: those requiring adjustments and the adjusters.  The adjusters are my toolbox.  I can attend a problem with what feels like the right tool, looks like the right tool and may even say it’s the right tool.  But it doesn’t fit and I end up with scraped knuckles and band-aids.  Do I as a responsible fixer-upper punish the tool for my trust and throw it away or place it back in my toolbox for the next time in need of choice?

Too often I hear it referred to as a circular firing squad, we tend to shoot each other at times.  I would rather use some first-aid on my knuckles and trust that tool the next time necessary.  My tools are more significant in solving our problems than the problems we collectively confront.

If your scraped knuckles are more important than the outcome, you’re in this for the wrong reasons.  Maintain a full toolbox and trust the reasons they are there.  I thank my tools for their service to this GREAT Nation.
